Spring and autumn offer the sweet spot: April through June and September through October bring highs in the low to mid-twenties, the Mediterranean breeze softening the heat, jacaranda blooms purpling the streets in May. Rain returns modestly in October and November, brief downpours that clear quickly and leave the limestone walls glowing.
Winter remains mild, rarely dipping below nine degrees overnight, but the Costa del Sol earns its name year-round. Visit in late spring for ideal conditions, or in September when the crowds thin but the sea stays warm.
